Castro Roofing’s FRS Systems will dramatically reduce the risk of airborne contaminates and virtually eliminate objectionable odors during the application of hot BUR or modified.

This exclusive technology captures and systematically filters fumes and odors from both hot-coal tar and asphalt commercial roofing material applications to nearly undetectable levels.

Minimize Downtime
Before the advent of FRS, a roofing project meant not only inconvenience and discomfort to employees, customers and others served by a business or institution – it could also mean an additional economic burden. Often, the only options were to shut down operations during bituminous installation or pay for premium-priced night shifts for certain projects.

Having the proper equipment and the certified personnel to operate them allows them to keep your project on schedule, thereby improving productivity, safety, and job completion.  And, of course, they conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure all  tools and equipment are ready for work when needed.

• Being Environmentally Aware: Keeping the environment safe is a big concern to Castro Roofing – that’s why they address environmental safety issues during personnel training on specialized equipment used for specific events, such as water runoff, fume recovery, and spills.  Castro field crew are also briefed on each job regarding the environmental issues surrounding a particular job at that particular site.  They are trained in the use of the recovery and protection equipment.   As a result of this training, there have not been any accidents with highly contaminable substances in Castro’s 29 year history.

• Having On-going Employee and Safety Training: Castro field crews and staff are trained in the proper installation of all materials.  They have also adopted and received federal approval on their detailed safety manual.  Receiving federal approval of this Safety Manual has resulted in streamlining the contract and job progress.  The safety standards of the National Roofing Contractor’s Association, the Corps of Engineers manual, and OSHA 1926 have also been integrated into the Castro Safety Manual. • Having Proper Insurance for ALL its Employees:  Castro carries an aggregate general liability insurance policy of $2 million, $5 million per occurrence, and $5 million umbrella insurance. PLUS they also choose to carry Workers Compensation insurance for all staff. They carry these policies to protect you from liability from unforeseen yet possible very unfortunate and costly events.

In the state of Texas, contractors are not required to have Workman’s Compensation Insurance. This means that if a worker is injured while working on your property, and the contractor chose to not insure their workers, you will be exposed to serious liability and the possibility of lawsuits. Also, call the insurance agent listed on the insurance certificates of coverage to verify coverage is in effect during every project.

Another common occurrence to be aware of is a contractor you hire will show that he carries Workman’s Compensation, but then he hires subcontractors to do the work. If the subcontractor does not carry Workman’s Compensation Insurance on their employees, and his employee get hurt while working on your project, you again incur liability and risk the possibility of a lawsuit.  Castro Roofing uses NO SUBCONTRACTORS – their crew and staff are all Castro employees.  And again, because we carry Workers Compensation insurance on all their employees, you are never at risk from worker injury.
